Paul Goerss

Paul Gregory Goerss (* 28. August 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio) ist ein US-amerikanischer Mathematiker, der sich mit Algebraischer Topologie befasst.

Goerss wurde 1983 am Massachusetts Institute of Technology bei Franklin Paul Peterson promoviert (Results on Brown-Gitler Spectra). Er war am Wellesley College, Professor an der University of Washington und ist Professor an der Northwestern University. Er ist Fellow der American Mathematical Society. 1990 wurde er Forschungsstipendiat der Alfred P. Sloan Foundation (Sloan Research Fellow).

Er befasst sich mit Homotopietheorien, unter anderem stabiler Homotopie und Anwendungen zum Beispiel in algebraischer Geometrie.
