Introduction

Michael Martinez, better known by his stage name Onry Ozzborn, is a rapper and producer from Farmington New Mexico, who is currently based in Seattle, Washington. He is a founding member of the alternative hip hop groups such as Grayskul, Dark Time Sunshine, and Oldominion. He has collaborated with artists such as Aesop Rock, Sleep, Mr. Lif, P.O.S, Slug, and Busdriver.

History

Onry was born and raised in Farmington, New Mexico before moving to Seattle, Washington. In Seattle he co-founded the hip hop collective Oldominion alongside fellow emcees and producers Pale Soul, Sleep, Destro, Nyqwil, and Snafu. Through Oldominion, he was introduced to another artist, JFK, who would later become a frequent collaborator and the two would form the group Grayskul. In 2002, Onry Ozzborn formed the group Norman with fellow Oldominion artist Barfly, and released Norman. Following numerous albums with Grayskul and his solo projects, Onry met the Chicago producer Zavala and formed the group Dark Time Sunshine. He is currently signed to Fake Four Inc.

Onry Ozzborn's lyrical style has been described as brooding, thoughtful, and unique. He is also known to use different names depending on the project he is working on.
