Introduction

Ng On-Yee, Onyee, MH (traditional Chinese: 吳安儀) (born 17 November 1990 in Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong snooker player. She won the IBSF World Snooker Championship in 2009 and the Ladies World Snooker Championship in 2015.

Career

In the 2010 Asian Games, Onyee won the Gold Medal as a member of the women's six-red team and a Bronze Medal in the singles competition.

On 15 December 2010, Ng On-Yee successfully defended her IBSF World Snooker Championship title in Syria by defeating compatriot Jaique Ip in the final by 5 frames to 0.

On 6 October 2013, Ng On-Yee won the IBSF World 6 Reds Snooker Championship at Carlow, Ireland.

In April 2015, Ng On Yee beat England's Reanne Evans 4-2 in the semi-final and another home hope, Emma Bonney, 6-2 in the final at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds, England, to become the first new world ladies' champion in a decade.

On 11 August 2015, Ng On Yee beat India's Vidya Pillai 5-2 in the final at the Movenpick Hotel in Karachi, Pakistan, to claim her second World 6 Reds (women) title.

Personal life

Ng On Yee has completed form 5 in Hong Kong. She is currently studying for an Advance Diploma in Accounting at HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE). She is expected to graduate in December 2015.
