Introduction

Nathan Robinson is an American writer, author, former law clerk, columnist for The Guardian, and current Editor-in-Chief of Current Affairs magazine. Robinson founded the magazine in 2015. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University, a bachelor and master of arts degree from Brandeis University, and a J.D. degree from Yale Law School.

Early life and education

Robinson's family moved from Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England and settled on the Floridian Gulf Coast of Sarasota in 1995. He became an American citizen, along with his family, in 2001. Robinson attended Pine View School in Osprey, Florida before attending Brandeis University graduating with both a bachelors degree and masters degree in arts. Following his time at Brandeis, Robinson received his J.D. degree from Yale Law School. Robinson was there for four years and graduated, before moving onto a Ph.D. degree at Harvard University. Robinson subsequently graduated in 2019, four years after he founded Current Affairs.

Current Affairs

Robinson founded the left wing progressive magazine Current Affairs in 2015 after a Kickstarter campaign raised US$16,000.
