Introduction

Miles Okazaki (born 1974) is an American guitarist and composer. He lives in Brooklyn, New York. Okazaki is currently assistant professor of jazz guitar at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Early life

Okazaki was born in Pullman, Washington in 1974. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest, in Port Townsend, Washington. From a young age he was exposed to music and art, primarily because his mother was a painter and his father was a photography professor at Washington State University.
