Introduction
Miguel Ángel Berchelt Cervera (born November 17, 1991) is a Mexican professional boxer and the current WBC Super Featherweight champion.
Amateur career
During his amateur career Miguel was a three-time Mexican National Boxing Champion in the Elite category.
Professional career
On August 20, 2011 Berchelt knocked out Israel Barron at the La Cetto Vineyard in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico.
He was considered the boxer of the year in 2011 by the World Boxing Council.
On January 28, 2017 Berchelt won the WBC super featherweight championship with an 11th round knockout over Francisco Vargas.
