Michael Flatley (16 November 1952 - 8 January 2017) was an American child actor active in the 1960s. He is known for his appearances in the TV series Dennis the Menace (1961). In some of his roles, he was credited as Mike Flatley.

Early life

Michael Flatley was born on November 16, 1952, in Los Angeles, California.

Career

Flatley made his acting debut in 1961, with a minor role in "Mannequin Story" episode of the TV comedy series Pete and Gladys. The same year he was seen in three episodes –– Dennis Goes to Camp, Trouble from Mars, and Keep off the Grass –– of the TV series Dennis the Menace (starring Jay NorthHerbert Anderson, and Gloria Henry.)

Over the following years, through the mid-1960s, Flatley was seen in a wide range of TV series including Wagon Train (1962), Going My Way (1963), The Virginian (1964), and Please Don't Eat the Daisies (1965).

His last role was that of "Dave" in the "Leave It to Dixie" episode of the TV series Laredo (December 1966). The same month, he was also seen in a minor, uncredited role in director Norman Tokar's feature family drama Follow Me, Boys!, starring Fred MacMurray and Vera Miles.

Death

Flatley died on January 8, 2017, aged 64, in New Springfield, Ohio.
