Introduction

Martin Strahammer (13 November 1890 – 2 May 1945) was an Austrian general in the Wehrmacht of Nazi Germany during World War II. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Following his surrender, he was shot by American forces on 2 May 1945 at Parma under unclear circumstances.
