Introduction

Louis Patrick James Partridge (born 3 June 2003) is an English actor. He began his career as a child actor, making his feature film debut in the fantasy Pan (2015). After appearing in Paddington 2 (2017) and portraying Piero de' Medici in the historical drama series Medici (2019), Partridge had his breakthrough as Viscount Tewkesbury in the Netflix mystery film Enola Holmes (2020) and its 2022 sequel. He has since portrayed Sid Vicious in Danny Boyle's FX miniseries Pistol (2022), Peter Pan in the fantasy film The Lost Girls (2022), and Jonathan Brigstocke in Alfonso Cuarón's psychological thriller Disclaimer (2024).

Early life

Partridge was born on 3 June 2003 in Wandsworth, London, to James and Liz Partridge. He has an older sister and a younger sister.

Partridge attended Dulwich Preparatory School. He played rugby with Battersea Ironsides Sports Club. He then went to secondary school at Alleyn's School, where he was a member of Tyson's House. He completed his A Levels in 2021 with A's in French, English, and Film Studies.

Career

Partridge made his acting debut in a 2014 short film Beneath Water. Partridge also appeared as an extra in Emil and the Detectives at the National Theatre alongside other child actors Seb Sargent and Lucy Hutchinson, a rehearsal attended by Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh. Partridge was one of the England mascots at the 2015 Rugby World Cup game against Wales, held at Twickenham Stadium. He is also half English and half Welsh. He walked out holding Chris Robshaw’s, the captain of England at the time, hand.

Partridge initially gained recognition as Piero de Medici in Medici and appeared in Paddington 2. He rose to further prominence when he played Lord Viscount Tewkesbury in Enola Holmes alongside Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill. He reprised the role in the film's 2022 sequel. In 2019, he joined the cast of The Lost Girls, playing the immortal boy Peter Pan.

In January 2021, Partridge joined the cast of Danny Boyle's FX miniseries Pistol as the titular band's bassist Sid Vicious. Later that year in October, he was cast in the epic fantasy romance Ferryman. Partridge then branched out to the thriller genre, joining the cast of Alfonso Cuarón's Disclaimer in May 2022, with the series making its debut at the 81st Venice International Film Festival before premiering on Apple TV+ in October 2024. In February 2024, Partridge cameoed in the spy film Argylle as a young Aubrey Argylle. In March 2024, Partridge joined the ensemble cast of Noah Baumbach's upcoming untitled film starring George Clooney, Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, and Billy Crudup. In July 2024, it was announced that Partridge was cast as one of the lead actors in the new historical drama House of Guinness from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.

Personal life

Partridge has been in a relationship with American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo since late 2023.
