Introduction
Locket Chatterjee (born 4 December 1973) is a Bengali television and film actress. She is also a classical dancer– Locket completed her training in Bharat Natyam, Kathakali, Manipuri and Creative, but, she is more popular as an actress.
Early life
Her father was a priest as was her grandfather. Locket's mother encouraged her and her sister Mala to do something related to the arts. Her mother took her to dance school. Locket went abroad with the Mamata Shankar ballet troupe when she was a class VIII student. She grew up by the Ganges on the northern outskirts of Calcutta’s Dakshineswar area.
She later studied at the Jogamaya Devi College, of the University of Calcutta.
