Lin Yanjun

Lin Yanjun (Chinese: 林彥俊; born August 24, 1995), also known as Evan Lin, is a Taiwanese singer based in mainland China. He debuted as a member of the C-pop group Nine Percent on April 6, 2018 through the Chinese idol reality survival show named Idol Producer.

Lin Yanjun was born on August 24, 1995 in Haikou and grew up moving between Taiwan, Jiangxi, and Guangdong. He graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. His father is from Taiwan and his mother is from Jiangxi.

2018: Idol Producer and Nine Percent

Lin was a member of the trainee group Trainee18 under the label Shanghai Project Banana Co. He then participated in the idol reality survival show Idol Producer in January 2018. He ranked 5th in the final episode with 12,131,367 votes and debuted as a member of the C-pop group Nine Percent on April 6, 2018.

2019: Solo career

On 29 August 2018, Lin's studio officially formed. On 7 January 2019, Lin released his first solo mini-album Imperfect Love (剛好的傷口). It earned 5 million yuan within 28 seconds of release, breaking six sales records on QQ Music. Its title single, "Imperfect Love", debuted at No. 4 on Billboard China Social Music Chart on 3 March 2019. The music video was released on 19 February 2019.

On Lin's first debut anniversary, 6 April 2019, he released image teasers for his second mini-album ESCAPE. The album was released on 12 April 2019. The album comprises two songs, Lin wrote the lyrics for the title track "Get Outta My Head" and composed the melody for "Over You". He performed both titles live at his EP launch fan-meetings in Guangzhou and Chengdu later that month.

On August 24, 2019 he released his new single 对手 (English: competitor). The music video was released on 30 August 2019 on QQ Music and Youtube, and became the 3rd music video to accumulate 50 million points on the QQ Music MV Peak Chart on 3 October 2019.

In 2018, Lin was chosen to endorse the cosmetics brands Elizabeth Arden and Panasonic Beauty as well as being the ambassador for multiple brands such as Innisfree and Korean skincare company MISSHA. Lin was given the chance to be the spokesperson for both Philosophy and skincare line Martiderm, both which he accepted with pride. In 2019, Lin was chosen to present the full line of YSL Beauty as well as the Korean make-up brand 3CE.
