Introduction

Lauren Layfield (born 2 December 1987 in Sale, Greater Manchester) is an English television presenter and journalist who works mainly for CBBC. Layfield has presented the CBBC continuity since 2015 with Karim Zeroual, Katie Thistleton, Hacker T. Dog and Bl1nk Bot 3. Layfield has also presented Whoops I Missed the Bus, The Dengineers and All Over the Place. Layfield has also written for the Top of the Pops magazine.

Career

Layfield first appeared in 2014 on the CBBC comedy review show, Whoops I Missed the Bus, before leaving in 2015. Layfield was also announced to host the channel's continuity in September 2015, at the end of the one-off TV special Hacker's Birthday Bash: 30 Years of Children's BBC. In November 2015, Layfield presented the DIY series, The Dengineers with Mark Wright. In April 2017, Wright left and was replaced with Joe Tracini. In January 2016, Layfield joined All Over the Place and became a co-host with Ed Petrie and other various presenters. Layfield has also made one-off appearances in game shows Ultimate Brain and Celebrity Mastermind and 4 appearances in the panel show The Dog Ate My Homework.
