Introduction

Lansing Bond Mizner (1825–1893) was an American lawyer and diplomat. Mizner served as US ambassador to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.

Early life

Lansing B. Mizner was born on December 5, 1825, in Monroe County, Illinois.

Career

From 1868-1870, he worked as Senate of California State. Afterwards, he worked for Benjamin Harrison for presidential campaign in 1888. Under the administration of Harrison, Mizner was appointed as the highest ranking diplomat in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.

Death

Mizner died in 1893.
