Introduction

Lady Bunny, originally known as "Bunny Hickory Dickory Dock," (born Jon Ingle, August 13, 1962) is an American drag queen, nightclub DJ, promoter and founder of the annual Wigstock event. She has also released disco singles such as "Shame, Shame, Shame!" and "The Pussycat Song".

Career

Lady Bunny began her career alongside Larry Tee and RuPaul as a fixture on the Atlanta gay scene in the early 1980sand appeared in a variety of low-budget films with them, including the Starbooty series. In 1984, she moved to New York City, became one of the Club Kids, and in 1985, organized Wigstock, an annual drag queen festival that lasted until 2005.

Lady Bunny identifies as a non-operative transsexual woman. In a 2013 interview with the HuffPost, she stated that she sees herself "part of that [trans] community. But I have no plans for the surgery". Furthermore, she is almost never seen out of women's clothing.
