Introduction
Ken Hyland is Chair Professor of Applied Linguistics and Director of the Centre for Applied English Studies (CAES) at the University of Hong Kong.
Hyland is an applied linguist in the field of academic discourse, writing and English for Academic Purposes, and has published more than 26 books and 200 articles.
He is founding co-editor of the Journal of English for Academic Purposes and was co-editor of Applied Linguistics.
