James Parker Smith (1854–1929) was Liberal Unionist MP for Glasgow Partick. He was first elected in 1890, but lost the seat in 1906. He was a Cambridge Apostle.
He had previously contested Greenock and Paisley.
In January 1900, Smith was appointed assistant private secretary (unpaid) to Joseph Chamberlain, Secretary of State for the Colonies.
