Introduction

Jack Farthing (born 14 October 1985) is an English actor who is notable for playing Freddie Threepwood in Blandings (2013–2014) and as villain George Warleggan in the BBC One drama series Poldark (2015–2019). He also appeared as George Balfour in The Riot Club (2014) and Marc Fisher in the Netflix romantic comedy Love Wedding Repeat (2020).

Early life and career

Born and raised in North London, Farthing has described his childhood as "lovely". He was educated at Westminster School, before reading History of Art at St Catherine's College, Oxford, and then attending London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Farthing has performed at the Royal Court Theatre and had a small role in Stephen Poliakoff's series Dancing on the Edge.
