Introduction

Huckleberry Fox (born October 6, 1974) is an American former child actor known for his roles in Terms of Endearment (1983,) Misunderstood (1984,) and Konrad (1985).

Early life and education

Huckleberry Fox was born George Miller Fox on October 6, 1974, in Connecticut. He attended The Foote School in New Haven, Connecticut. Later, he attended Northfield Mount Hermon School in Northfield, Massachusetts, as a boarding student and graduated in 1993.

Fox then studied molecular biology at New York University, New York and then worked with the New York City government. Later, he earned a master's degree in animal science from Cornell University, New York.

Career

Fox got his start in films in 1983, at the age of 9, playing one of the key characters in Shirley MacLaine, Jack Nicholson, and Debra Winger starrer comedy film Terms of Endearment. He portrayed "Teddy Horton," one of the sons of "Emma Horton" (played by Debra Winger.) Fox's brother, "Tommy Horton," was played by Troy Bishop. The following year, he was seen as "Miles" in Jerry Schatzberg-directed drama Misunderstood, and as "Karl Palmer" in director Rick Rosenthal's American Dreamer.

He then landed the lead role of "Konrad" in the TV comedy of the same name, appearing alongside Max Wright and Polly Holliday.

Over the following years, he appeared in a variety of TV films, including The Blue Yonder (1985,) A Winner Never Quits (1986,) and The Incredible Ida Early (1987.) In 1988, he appeared in the role of "Jamie" in "The Cutty Black Sow" episode of TV series Tales from the Darkside.

He was last seen on the silver screen in 1996, playing the character of "Danny" in Buddy Giovinazzo-directed Tim Roth and James Russo starrer thriller No Way Home.

After finishing his higher education, Fox worked as a Science Teacher at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Northfield, Massachusetts, in the years 2001-2005. Since 2015, he has been serving as a diplomat with the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service in South Africa.

Personal life

Fox has been married to his wife Leah, since October 2000. The couple has a son, Antonio, born November 6, 2001.
