Introduction

Gavin Whyte (born 31 January 1996) is a Northern Irish semi-professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Crusaders. He has previously played at Under 21 level for Northern Ireland and was most notably on trials with Everton and Celtic during the summer of 2016.

Club career

Over the past couple of years, Whyte has displayed the potential he has guiding the Crues to back to back league titles and has attracted a lot of interest from Scotland and England. He is considered one of the country's brightest young prospects. He currently plays on the right wing and is a vital attack partner for both Jordan Owens and Paul Heatley on the Crusaders team.

Whyte is also a Liverpool supporter.
