Introduction
Friedrich Mieth (4 June 1888 – 2 September 1944) was a general in the Wehrmacht of Nazi Germany during World War II who commanded the IV Corps. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Mieth was killed in action on 2 September 1944 in Iaşi, Romania.
