Introduction
Eleanor Claire "Ellie" Reeves is a British Labour Party politician, and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lewisham West and Penge. She is the sister of an MP, Rachel Reeves, and married to another MP, John Cryer.
Early life
Ellie Reeves is the daughter of Graham and Sally Reeves of Lewisham, and the sister of fellow Labour MP Rachel Reeves.
Reeves was educated at Adamsrill Primary School in Sydenham and Cator Park Secondary School (now Harris Academy Bromley). She has a bachelor's degree from Oxford University.
Career
Reeves is an employment law barrister and vice-chair of the London Labour Party and was formerly a member of the National Executive Committee.
Personal life
She is married to John Cryer, chair of the parliamentary Labour Party.
