Biography
Introduction
Davide Simoncelli (born January 30, 1979 in Rovereto) is a former World Cup alpine ski racer from Italy. He raced in all five disciplines at the World Cup level, but primarily focused on giant slalom.
Simoncelli took two World Cup victories and eight podium finishes, all in giant slalom. He took five podiums on the Gran Risa track of Alta Badia, with a victory and four second places. Simoncelli competed for Italy in three Olympics and seven World Championships. He announced his retirement from competition in March 2015.
