Biography
Danielle Rowley (born 1990) is a Scottish Labour Party politician. She was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Midlothian at the 2017 snap general election.
The daughter of politician Alex Rowley, she was educated at Dalkeith High School and Edinburgh Napier University. Since graduating from university, Rowley has worked for the Scottish Labour Party, the Scottish Parliament, the Association of Chief Officers of Scottish Voluntary Organisations and homeless charity Shelter.
Shortly after her election, she was appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry. On 6 September 2017, she was announced as Campaign Chief for Richard Leonard's campaign for the Scottish Labour leadership.
