Introduction

Charles M. Webb was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate.

Biography

Webb was born on December 30, 1833 in Towanda, Pennsylvania. Webb went to the United States Military Academy in 1850 and stayed for one tear He moved to Waushara County, Wisconsin in 1857 and to Grand Rapids, Wisconsin in 1858. During the American Civil War, Webb served as an officer in the Union Army with the 12th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Webb died on August 12, 1911.

Political career

Webb was elected District Attorney of Wood County, Wisconsin in 1858. He resigned in 1861 to accept his military commission. Later, he was elected to the Senate in 1868. After serving as City Attorney of Grand Rapids, he was appointed as a judge on the Wisconsin Circuit Court. Webb was a Republican.
