Introduction
Isaac Otchere Azey is a Ghanaian painter. He was born in 1964 in Ghana.
Career
His work often addresses issues of morality, sexuality, illness, social inequality and corruption. He soon developed a reputation throughout Kumasi both as a local commentator and master of popular painting.
Azey's work has been shown widely in Ghana, the USA, and the Europe.
In 2002, his work was featured in book "Kumasi Junction" by Oriel Mostyn Gallery.
In 2011, his work was shown in "Kings of Kumasi" exhibition at Jack Bell Gallery in London.
His work was also featured in Atta Kwami's book, "Kumasi Realism," published in December 2013.
