Introduction
Air Marshal Aspy Merwan Engineer DFC (15 December 1912 – 1 May 2002) was an officer in the Indian Air Force who rose through the ranks to become Chief of the Air Staff and later served as India's ambassador to Iran. He was awarded Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC).
He was trained at RAF Cranwell.
His younger brother, M.M., was IAF's AOC Western Air Command during the 1971 War.
