Introduction

Ann Hoggarth (born c. 1950) is a politician in Ontario, Canada. She is a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario who was elected on June 12, 2014. She represents the riding of Barrie.

Background

Hoggarth was born and raised in Barrie, Ontario. She was an elementary school teacher at Terry Fox Elementary School in Barrie, and a past president of the Simcoe County Elementary Teachers' Federation.

Politics

Hoggarth ran in the June 2014 provincial election as the Liberal candidate in the riding of Barrie. She defeated Progressive Conservative incumbent Rod Jackson by 2,248 votes.

She serves as a Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Labour.
