Biography

Amile O. Jefferson (born May 7, 1993) is an American college basketball player for the Duke Blue Devils. Jefferson grew up in Philadelphia and attended Friends Central. where he was coached by Jason Polykoff. He was named a McDonalds All-American in 2012. In his junior season at Duke, Jefferson was on the Blue Devils' 2014–15 NCAA Championship team. He was a bench player on that team and averaged 6.4 points and 5.7 rebounds a game. Jefferson scored 19 points in a road victory at Louisville and 13 points in an overtime win versus the North Carolina Tar Heels. Jefferson missed the rest of his senior season after suffering a foot injury in December. The Blue Devils lost to Oregon in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Jefferson qualifies for a medical redshirt to gain another year of eligibility.
